Job Description
  • Oversee all aspects of learning and organization development
  • This individual will lead and mentor a highly experienced team of L&D professionals

    Key aspects of the role are:
  • Create and implement strategic vision for the company learning and development function
  • Provide and oversee organization development and change management interventions
  • Promote leadership development throughout the organization
  • Oversee development and implementation of standards, policies, and procedures for function
  • Lead a highly experienced team of learning and development professionals

    Leading the Function

  • Provide long term organizational training and development vision and strategy
  • Work with the Learning Council to uncover and prioritize training and organizational development needs that align with business goals and results
  • Propose and manage organizations training plan and budget
  • Set direction for learning technology
  • Allocate resources and ensure talent optimization
  • Conduct benchmarking, track industry trends and incorporate into learning strategy
  • Set standards for development of policies, procedures, standards, and templates
  • Measure and report results to executive management
  • Promotes a culture of integrity, caring and continuous improvement

    Organization Development
  • Provide and oversee organization development and change management interventions
  • Provide organizational career development
  • Provide organizational talent management

  • Distribute and manage staff workload
  • Consult and guide L&D staff
  • Coach and develop L&D staff
  • Oversee vendor selection and negotiation process
  • Oversee development and delivery of learning solutions to ensure quality and consistency

    Leadership Development
  • Identify long term executive development approaches and programs to support executive growth and succession planning
  • Consult on individual development plans for executives including assessments and coaching
  • Develop, deliver, and/or procure leadership development programs to meet organizational needs at all levels
  • Necessary Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (demonstrated by prior work experience)
  • Proven ability to build strong working relationships, internal and external to the organization
  • Superior verbal, written, presentation, and facilitation skills
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and execute in an everchanging environment
  • Highly disciplined and organized with a strong attention to detail
  • Extensive project and program management experience
  • Expensive knowledge of instructional design (needs assessment, curriculum design and development, and program evaluation)

    Required Education and Experience

  • Masters or PhD in learning and development, education, organization development, business, or related field
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in the area of training and organization development
