Job Description
  • HR Business Partner is a multidimensional executive-level role, bridging the gap between executives and mulit-generational employees
  • The HR Business Partner is responsible for encouraging healthy communication; not oly being a voice to the staff, but also its culture, and how it creates a working environment where everyone can thrive
  • The Executive must be a trusted partner and strategic business thinker, problem solver and decision maker, a communicator and active listener, organized and results oriented, who has integrity and technical expertise
  • He/she demostrates skills and competencies that include, but are not limited to: strategy, organizational knowledge and development, talent development and management, leadership development, conflict management, and a mission focus
  • The HR Business Partner will operate as a key strategic partner at the C-Level to drive company vision, culture and values
  • This HR Business Partner role will drive employee accountability and ownership
  • With transparency he/she will continually define culture as a means to empower individuals to connect with each other and their work, and to align teams with the company's goals
  • The HR Business Partner will spearhead change management and talent management
  • This Executive Leader must demonstrate a consistent leadership model while operating with utmost personal integrity and accountability
  • This position reports to the CEO


    The HR Business Partner will:

  • Collaborate with the senior leadership team to provide strategic, operational and tactical guidance on all human resource issues
  • Coach and advise senior leadership and board of directors; lead development strategies for the executive team
  • Motivate teams to achieve results by influencing and inspiring team lead members
  • Understand functional/technical needs of a changing business; evaluate efficiencies and structure within each department's team; determine internal & external talent needs; and train managers for assessing internal movement
  • Work with company leaders to create training processes, coach management teams, and implement manager development
  • Maximize effectiveness of team's performance and results; demonstrate a consistent leadership model while displaying and protecting the company's greatest asset, their people, with personal integrity
  • Lead change management activities needed to support organizational development and initiatives to meet objectives
  • Ensure recruiting activities attract a diversity of talent needed to meet the company's business goals
  • Demonstrate detailed project management skills and drive projects to completion
  • Lead the organization's compensation strategies to ensure sound financial alignment with compensation locally and globally
  • Lead the efficient and consistent management of the organization's people practices, policies, programs and processes
  • Identify, improve and leverage HR activities for the benefit of the entire organization
  • Ensure HR subject matter expertise on current federal, state and case law changes is in place, and that the company is compliant with laws and regulations

    Experience and Skills:

    The HR Business Partner will have:

  • 15+ years' experience as an HR Executive, with at least 10 years in a leadership role
  • Bachelor's degree in HR Management (Master's degree preferred)
  • Experience leading and managing large teams within a high-tech company
  • Change management expertise and experience with acquisitions in a growth company
  • Credibility to act as an internal adviser to the CEO and the board
  • The ability to work with the board to manage succession planning
  • Experience in and proven success with working in a changing, fast-paced, mid-sized growth organization
  • Startup experience in a technology based business with a track record of developing key leaders
  • Financial and business acumen, technology savvy, and is able to drive talent to grow the business
  • An understanding of cultural differences and shifting demographics
  • Demonstrated change management skills; ability to lead complex change and organizational integration
  • Experience with leadership in human resources strategy to support strategic direction
  • Expertise in building compensation and performance into governance structures
  • Experience in strategically and tactically evaluating and implementing HR related training programs
  • Superior interpersonal listening and communication and presentation skills
  • The ability to adapt quickly and build relationships, engage and motivate
