Job Description
  • The Our Leadership Stage Executive Solutions Client Leading Multi National Bank Group's CEO is responsible for leading the development and execution of the bank's strategy, overseeing planning and management, upholding high standards of governance and corporate citizenship, accounting to all our stakeholders, and ensuring that we deliver value to our shareholders, customers and staff


    Job Purpose


  • To oversee and coordinate all Our Leadership Stage Executive Solutions Client Leading Multi National Bank Group activities carried out in the country as the jurisdictional head and the Chief Executive Officer of the legal entity
  • To ensure that the business is managed effectively and in compliance with all the regulatory requirements and laws, as stipulated in the applicable legislation


    Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities


  • Leading the organisation Exercise leadership, co-ordination and oversight over all activities carried out in Our Leadership Stage Executive Solutions Client - Multinational Bank, India + UAE ( Abhu Dhabi) , as local lead representative
  • Ensure the India and UAE (Abu Dhabi) business is organised to meet the needs of the segments, particularly International Personal Banking


    Strategic Contribution


  • Contribute towards the formulation of Wealth International strategy, in line with overall corporate


    objectives and priorities

  • Contribute towards the provision of expertise, strategic insights and performance metrics / reports to the Board and wealth leadership to facilitate the achievement of the respective strategic objectives


    Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure that strategies, plans and budgets of segments and products contribute to the long-term sustainability of the regulated businesses and are designed to operate within the governance and risk appetite, regulatory constraints, applicable laws, policies and procedures, as prescribed by the local Boards, Regulators and the Leadership Stage Executive Solutions Clients Multi National Bank Group


    Governance


  • Establish and operate effective governance processes to ensure compliant management of the legal entities based in the India + UAE ( Abu Dhabi)


    Risk Management


  • Manage the risk of the group within the jurisdiction by ensuring that effective risk management processes are established and adopted, within the group risk appetite and while maintaining credibility of the balance sheet within the jurisdiction


    Escalation Management



  • Act as a senior point of escalation for matters within the jurisdiction and for urgent resolution of local incidents, to ensure smooth day to day operations


    Brand and Reputation


  • Act as the custodian of the brand within the jurisdiction and promote the group within the local market place through all avenues to strengthen the image and reputation of the brand


    External Stakeholder Engagement



  • Identify and / or develop relationships with key external stakeholders including prospects, existing clients, government, media, regulatory bodies, industry specialists, investors and service providers to maximise cooperation and compliance while minimising risk



    Internal Stakeholder Engagement


  • Build and maintain a collaborative and client-focused relationship with all relevant internal stakeholders to ensure the needs of the Man business are met in a cost-effective and efficient manner
  • People Management Oversee all attraction, hiring, performance management decisions as well as learning and capability development for direct reports and their teams as well as provide support and guidance for all based staff



    Reporting



  • Ensure timeous reporting to Company Board for all legal entities based in India + UAE ( Abhu Dhabi) of Man as well as compilation of management information for colleagues



    Best practice



  • Keep abreast of industry best practice and latest developments, changes of relevant laws and regulations and their implications
  • Incorporate such into daily work practices and decision-making to maintain legal and risk compliance



    Experience


    Experience required 1 Job Function: Banking



  • Years: More than 15 years
  • Experience Description: The role requires at least 15 years of generalist experience in the banking industry across lending, transactional and relationship banking
  • Experience in a banking senior management position is required



    Experience required 2 Job Function: Compliance


  • Years: 8+ years
  • Experience Description: The role requires experience and holding banking directorship
  • Sound knowledge of banking practise and regulation is required
  • The role will be required to exercise sound judgement in respect of business/risk situations, in particular for fraud, money laundering and lending
